PVC Backwater Valves
Sizes 4" – 27"
Backwater Valves are designed to prevent fluids from re-entering drainage systems, should backflow occur. Unidirectional flow through the valve is created by a flap that freely opens during outflow, and is trapped closed if backflow occurs. Intended for horizontal use in a drainage system. Plastic Trends Backwater Valves are complete with leak free neoprene gaskets on the flapper and lid.
In Line Backwater Valves
Plastic Trends 4” and 6” Backwater Valves accept DWV (ASTM D2665) pipe. If an adaption to SDR 35 sewer pipe (ASTM D3034) is desired, PTI’s P1208 adapter can be used with the 4” valve and the P1209 adapter can be used with the 6” valve. Plastic Trends’ 4” Backwater Valve is designed to accept an access sleeve of 8” DWV pipe or 8” SDR 35 sewer pipe. Plastic Trends 6” is designed to accept an access sleeve of 10” DWV pipe or 10” SDR 35 sewer pipe. Backwater Valves should be periodically inspected for proper function. Inspection is easily done by twisting the threaded lid.
Terminal Backwater Valves
Plastic Trends Terminal Backwater Valves are used to prevent backflow at the end of sewer lines or overflow from a sanitary sewer pumping station. Also used with storm sewer retention ponds.

Removing the threaded lid from our In Line Backwater Valve makes inspection simple and quick.
